Why We Play The modern game of tennis is driven by two forces: incredible power and massive spin. The effect is compounded by our extra thick, hexagonal-shaped string. Our main strings are spaced further apart at the bottom. This means that the surface tension of the string bed is 12-25 pounds less than the strung tension.
