VP Securities (VP) is the central depository for Danish securities. VP became part of Euronext in August 2020, which is the leading pan-European exchange that connects local economies to global capital markets, to accelerate innovation and sustainable growth. Euronext is the largest centre for debt and funds listings in the world and covers Belgium, France, Ireland, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal and the UK. Euronext provides custody and settlement services through central securities depositories (CSDs) in Norway, Portugal and now Denmark. VP's core activity is CSD Services, supporting both the financial sector and its customers' need for secure securities issuance, clearing and custody services. Another business area for VP is Issuer Services, which comprises the Issuing Agent Services and Investor Services activities of which VP is the leading Danish provider. VP is subject to the Danish Act on Capital Markets and holds a licence as a CSD under the European Regulation on improving securities settlement in the European Union and on central securities depositories (CSDR). As one of the first CSDs in Europe, VP received its licence that enables VP to provide services across the European Union.
