VTG is the UK's largest railway wagon hire company and the first choice for all of your rail freight leasing requirements. Our 4,400 wagon fleet is managed by a team of 30 dedicated staff based at our Bromsgrove office and co-located within our customer's organisations. As an independent, UK based ECM we are in full control of the maintenance of our wagons, and our team of engineers and controllers work with customers and maintainers on a daily basis to ensure maximum safety, availability and reliability, allowing the uninterrupted rail delivery of your goods.
Our UK fleet comprises a "Standard Freight" sector, with wagons for dry and solid products, a "Tank" sector containing special wagons for liquids, chemicals and powders plus an "Intermodal" sector featuring various designs of container wagon including the award winning "Ecofret" and a variety of other platforms including "Megafrets" and 60' FEA wagons. New wagons are added regularly as part of a continuous replenishment process and are chosen to meet customers’ specific requirements, with interfaces designed to speed the flow of goods through loading and unloading points. VTG can supply purpose built or modified vehicles as required, with flexible leasing arrangements for short and long-term hire. All VTG wagons come fitted with our innovative “VTG Connect” telematics system which enables you to track and trace your products on a wagon-by-wagon basis.
