Vystar Corporation develops Vytex Natural Rubber Latex (NRL), a raw material designed for use across a wide range of latex applications. The company employs a patented green production process that removes antigenic proteins from natural rubber latex, producing Vytex NRL that can be integrated into manufacturing operations that already use NRL or synthetic substitutes. Vytex NRL is real latex with substantially fewer allergy-causing proteins and complies with ASTM 1076 D category 5 classification, featuring a non-rubber content that is about 75% lower than traditional natural rubber latex.

Headquartered in Duluth, Georgia, Vytex is a publicly traded biotechnology company with a relatively small workforce. In 2012, the company broadened its business by acquiring SleepHealth LLC, a sleep diagnostic management firm with operations in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Its products target manufacturers that use natural rubber latex or seek alternatives to conventional latex, addressing concerns about latex allergies.
