The origin of Waccamaw Transport dates back to 1939 with roots in Clinton and Elizabethtown, North Carolina. The 75-year-old company is owned by the Clark family—the estate of the late Manly and brothers David, Giles and Rogers, who has held the title of president and CEO for more than 35 years. Annually, Waccamaw delivers approximately 35,000 truckloads of petroleum products, liquefied propane, jet fuel, asphalt and fertilizer solutions. With the home office located in Selma, NC, Waccamaw system coverage extends primarily throughout the Carolinas and Virginia. Waccamaw is continuously striving to further improve customer performance in a very demanding industry.

Since 1939, Waccamaw Transport has remained a valuable and reliable fixture within the petroleum carrier transport industry. The Clark Brothers Inc. have also been highly active in a variety of petroleum industry businesses and operate a network of convenient stores in NC through Sampson-Bladen Oil Company, Inc..

Headquartered in Selma, NC, Waccamaw Transport presently operates a fleet of more than 50 tractor units and more than 70  trailers. Our customer coverage base extends primarily throughout the southeastern United States including local terminal service in Selma, Greensboro, Charlotte, Wilmington, NC, Chesapeake, Richmond, Montvale, VA, and Cheraw, SC.

With a modern petroleum fleet consisting of Mack and Peterbilt trucks, safety is vital in our daily activities. Each unit is equipped with on-board computers to provide rapid information exchange with our customers and Global Positioning Satellite features to allow us to track unit movement to within ten feet of its location.
