Warden Woods Community Centre is a non-profit organization based in Scarborough, Ontario, established in the 1960s to address the needs of residents in a government housing project. Originating from a Mennonite Church initiative, the center expanded from initial services such as clothing distribution, a nursery school, and a teen drop-in program to a broader inter-agency collaboration that included Family Services Association, the Children's Aid Society, and Public Health, forming a community services unit in 1968. The current facility at 74 Fir Valley Court, built in 1970 with support from Mennonite Church Eastern Canada, broadened access to crisis intervention and support services, among other offerings, and serves a diverse local community. The organization sits within the non-profit sector focused on community social services and neighborhood development, supported by a mid-sized local workforce and partnerships with public and community stakeholders.
