Warn Automotive traces its origins to 1948, when Arthur Warn invented the first disconnecting four-wheel-drive hub for surplus WWII vehicles. The company now concentrates on Powertrain Disconnect products for original equipment manufacturers worldwide, with an emphasis on improving vehicle performance, traction and capability while seeking to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. The business operates from its headquarters and manufacturing facility in Milwaukie, Oregon, and provides additional customer support from a Technical Center in Livonia, Michigan. Warn Automotive is part of the Vehicle Service Group within the Engineered Systems segment of Dover Corporation, and it is not affiliated with Warn Industries, Inc., a subsidiary of LKQ Corporation. Its products are used across a range of vehicles including heavy trucks, pickups, SUVs and passenger cars. In November 2024, the company was recognized with an Off-Road/4-Wheel Drive Product Award in the Best New Products category.
