Established in 1974, the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission operates as a state agency in Washington tasked with setting standards and delivering training for criminal justice professionals, including peace officers and local corrections officers. It also certifies peace officers and, when necessary, revokes those certifications to ensure adherence to state requirements.
