Wasserman Projects is a cultural initiative focused on art and writing, based in Birmingham, Michigan. Its main address serves as a venue for exhibitions and inventory, while additional shows and events occur at various sites in innovative formats across the country, from city to country and from North to South. Music, readings, and lectures are included to explore how visual and performing arts intersect and to reflect the perspectives of the principals. The program prioritizes works with a strong conceptual underpinning and emphasizes aesthetics that engage viewers through color, light, shape, and materials, including both abstract and representational pieces. It supports established and mid-career artists and musicians while also highlighting younger practitioners and aims to provide an international perspective to its stakeholders, all managed by a very small team.
