The Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association (WWEMA) is a non-profit trade association based in Washington, D.C., representing water and wastewater technology and service providers since 1908. We advocate, inform, and connect our members with key policymakers and decision-makers, helping them enhance their competitiveness and profitability both in the U.S. and internationally. Our members supply the most sophisticated cutting-edge technologies and services that address a wide range of water-related environmental challenges. As a member-driven organization, WWEMA brings together some of the most prominent and influential companies in the industry, collaborating to shape the future of water and wastewater technology worldwide.

Our Mission
WWEMA, as the voice of water and wastewater technology providers, empowers the industry and its public sector partners to deploy cost-effective, innovative clean water technologies for socio-economic, public health, and environmental good.

Collaboration
WWEMA plays a vital role in aligning the needs and goals of our members with the broader water community. Our staff and members actively serve on committees within organizations like AWWA, WEF, and WateReuse Association. We also work with government and municipal water and wastewater groups, contribute to technology committees and advisory boards, and participate in committees like the U.S. Department of Commerce Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee (ETTAC). 
Through these partnerships, we share information, work on joint initiatives, and advocate for the interests of our industry, which strengthens our influence in the water sector.
