Watsonville Wetlands Watch is an environmental nonprofit focused on protecting, restoring, and cultivating appreciation for the Pajaro Valley's wetlands. The organization operates a native-plant nursery to rebuild nesting and foraging habitat for local and migratory birds and other wildlife across about 1,500 acres of freshwater coastal wetlands and uplands. Based in Watsonville in the Pajaro Valley region of California, the group serves the local ecosystem through conservation work. Its educational programs reach thousands of participants, delivering hands-on ecology experiences, restoration activities, and pathways to green careers, mentorship, leadership, and peer learning for students and community members. The work engages educators, students, volunteers, and residents seeking practical, place-based conservation learning. A recent development is the planned World Wetlands Day celebration in early February 2025, co-hosted with the City of Watsonville along Struve Slough.
