WERQ Dance Fitness operates in the wellness and fitness sector, providing a cardio-focused dance workout set to pop and hip hop music. Created by Haley Stone, the concept began in Chicago in 2011 and has since expanded to more than 46 states with roughly 2,100 instructors. Based in Kansas City, Missouri, the program emphasizes a non-judgmental, empowering atmosphere that blends familiar routines with new steps. Its offerings target individuals seeking an engaging, social form of cardio that also challenges the brain through varied choreography. Instructors have creative control over playlists, and the library includes more than 600 routines, with two new routines released each week to keep sessions fresh. In 2023, a noted development involved launching a morning show in Baltimore, signaling ongoing expansion into new markets.
