West Cork Distillers is a mid-sized Irish distillery based in Skibbereen, in the Munster region. Founded in 2003 by three friends, the operation produces about 16.5 million litres of alcohol and operates with the capacity to distill, mature and bottle on site, a setup that supports contract bottling for external clients. It maintains a diversified revenue model that includes its own branded products, bulk spirits and fermentates, contract manufacturing, and wholesale. The on-site production model provides cost advantages and underpins its ability to serve a range of customers, including brand owners and contract bottlers. In November 2024, the company expanded its contract-bottling capabilities by acquiring Donohoe Drinks Co., a Waterford-based bottling and blending specialist, an acquisition that reportedly safeguarded around 105 jobs.
