West Michigan Symphony is a mid-sized performing arts organization based in Muskegon, Michigan. It serves as the resident performing group at the Frauenthal Center in downtown Muskegon, presenting an eight-concert subscription season that includes five classical programs and three pops. In addition, the ensemble operates The Block, a nearby listening space that hosts about 15 events annually across jazz, classical, and related genres. The symphony reaches roughly 16,500 people each year through its concerts and Community Music Encounters learning events, more than 30% of whom are children or students, and it is the largest performing arts organization on the West Shore, drawing audiences from Muskegon, Ottawa, Kent, Oceana and surrounding counties. Led by Music Director Scott Speck, the group is characterized by high-caliber musicians and notable guest artists; in 2025 it announced a partnership with CMF Marketing to support its storytelling efforts.
