The West Side Catholic Center is a private nonprofit organization based in Cleveland, Ohio, founded in 1977 by local churches with Catholic roots but independent of the Catholic Diocese and Catholic Charities. It provides a range of no-cost services to people in need, including hot meals, hospitality, clothing and household goods, emergency assistance, advocacy, a women’s and children’s shelter, and a housing solutions program. Services are offered to anyone regardless of religious affiliation, and the center has no geographic limits on its service area. Since 2010, WSCC has trained all staff and volunteers to apply a trauma-informed approach across its programs, emphasizing safety, trust, choice, collaboration and empowerment. In 2025, the organization participated in its Annual Pancake Run, with an option for participants to complete the final mile, reflecting ongoing community engagement.
