WeSTco Iron Works fabricates and erects miscellaneous metals and structural steel for general contractors throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Drive down any Bay Area freeway and chances are the landmark buildings you see contain or are built with steel from WeSTco.

 
The five partners of WeSTco, Scott Hofstede, Brad Thompson, John Wenger Nick Hieber and Michael Verkaik, bring more than 100 years of experience in the steel industry to every project WeSTco takes on. We have the expertise to bid out and fabricate the most complex jobs. We cut steel, weld, drill and shop-fit to precise specifications. High above the deck our field crew grabs steel beams from cranes, sets them, hangs them, then ensures they are perfectly plumb, strong, and solid. When it comes time to top out, we paint the last beam white and sign our names to it with pride. No one will ever see it, but we’ll know it’s a WeSTco building.
