Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe (WBTT) is a professional theatre company based in Sarasota, Florida, founded in 1999 by Nate Jacobs. It is the sole professional Black theatre company on Florida's west coast and is among a small number statewide. The company produces performances that celebrate African American history and experience, while aiming to attract a diverse audience and nurture a pipeline of artists, including youth of color. WBTT operates from a campus at 1012 North Orange Avenue in downtown Sarasota and has a history of presenting high-quality productions locally and across the state. In 2026, the organization introduced a program described as a launching pad for the next generation of Black performers.
