Westwood Community Church is a religious institution serving the Twin Cities region from its base in Excelsior, Minnesota. Founded in 1995, it began in an unconventional venue—the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre—and moved in 2003 to a 57-acre site of rolling farmland in Chanhassen. The church emphasizes biblical teaching presented in a practical way, inviting visitors whether exploring the Christian faith or seeking to deepen their relationship. Community is central, with opportunities to form friendships and support networks, and a strong emphasis on kids and students. In 2019, Westwood partnered with Doit to support a Malawi project introducing the Pyrethrum cash crop to Misuku Hills, reflecting a collaborative effort with a nonprofit and a partner church in Atlanta.
