Wethersfield Country Club is a recreational facilities organization located at 76 Country Club Road, Wethersfield, Connecticut 06109, United States. The club was incorporated by the State of Connecticut in 1916 for social and athletic purposes, and the original 'inside nine' golf holes between Prospect Street and Highland Street opened the following year with the clubhouse dedicated; the 'outside nine' holes south of Highland Street opened in 1925 to complete the championship course. Robert D. Pryde designed the original golf course and later served as the first Executive Director of the Connecticut State Golf Association; he was inducted into the Connecticut Golf Hall of Fame in 1999. Because of sustained competitive performance by its members in state and regional competitions over many decades, the club has been described as the 'Club of Champions'.
