At News 5 Cleveland, We Follow Through for you. We are the first television station in the state of Ohio, and we have always told the stories of our viewers. News 5 offers the most comprehensive breaking news, and with the power of our 5 Weather team, we provide the coverage needed to keep our viewers safe. An ABC affiliate owned and operated by The E.W. In addition to our station in Cleveland, we have bureaus in Akron and Columbus. We are media partners with the Akron Beacon Journal, Marshall Project Cleveland, the Ohio Capital Journal, Ideastream Public Media, Signal Cleveland, and we're the official TV partners of the Cleveland Browns.

The WEWS news department has collected numerous Emmy and Murrow awards over the years and is the most awarded in Cleveland.

Cleveland is home to three professional sports teams: NBA Cleveland Cavaliers, MLB Cleveland Guardians and the NFL Cleveland Browns.

The Playhouse Square Center is the second largest performing arts center in the United States behind New York City's Lincoln Center. Cleveland is home to the Cleveland Orchestra, one of the world's finest orchestras, and often referred to as the best in the United States.
