White Desert, based in London, England, has been delivering luxury Antarctic expeditions for more than 20 years. It operates three camps in the interior of Antarctica, designed to reach locations where very few visitors travel. Access is by a five-and-a-half-hour flight from Cape Town to a blue-ice airstrip, after which guests travel over the ice to the camps.

The operation includes maintaining Wolf's Fang, the only private-jet runway in Antarctica, and deploying highly trained guides and pilots to ensure safety and high standards on ice. The company coordinates extensive logistics to support on-ice operations, including shipments of fuel and vehicles months in advance, and on-site chefs preparing a full season’s meals in Cape Town. White Desert has sustained carbon neutrality since 2007 and channels some of its work through the White Desert Foundation to support scientific research, blue-carbon initiatives, and education, with a 2026 partnership to introduce the INEOS Grenadier at Wolf's Fang Runway.
