WHY-Q INC., a Minority Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE), is a global market research, consumer insights, brand and lifestyle consultancy, founded in 1999 to provide an alternative to traditional market research and brand strategy. Our mission is to deliver customized and innovative research methodologies that help generate consumer, brand and communications insights. 

Since our beginnings, our single-minded mission has been to deliver to clients the most creative and thoughtful approaches to consumer research, resulting in the most meaningful insights possible. While we draw upon deep experience with established best practices, we believe that uncovering the most game-changing insights requires a custom approach. To do this we have adopted traditional methodologies and invented new ones, worked in our own back yard and across the globe, talked to category experts and everyday consumers.

We are a soup to nuts research supplier that offers everything under one roof, including planning, research and methodology development, moderating, research analysis and reporting, video production and editing, research spaces and recruiting. We never need to outsource, ensuring that our high standards of quality are maintained throughout an entire project.

We find, recruit and talk to consumers in their element - at their home, in their office, at the store, where they go. We operate non-traditional creative research and innovation spaces through our Open House Lofts division in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, but set up pop-up locations all over to globe to facilitate in-depth interviews, focus groups, usability labs and co-creation sessions.
