Independent professional baseball team based out of Wichita, KS. A member of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball, the Wichita Wingnuts were founded in 2008 to keep professional baseball alive in the Wichita community. The Wingnuts ownership group is made up of two Wichita businessmen, and former MLB pitcher / Wichita native, Nate Robertson. The Wingnuts 100 game season consists of 50 home games and 50 road games ranging from Winnipeg, Canada to Laredo, TX.
