Wigton Windfarm Limited, a subsidiary of the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica, operates the largest wind energy facility in the English-speaking Caribbean. The wind farm is located in Rose Hill, Manchester, and comprises three phases with a total capacity of 62.7 MW (Phase I 20.7 MW, Phase II 18 MW, Phase III 24 MW). Its core objective is to promote wind and other alternative energy forms to diversify Jamaica’s energy mix. Since becoming operational, the facility has reduced national oil consumption by about 406,000 barrels, yielding savings for Jamaica. The operations are based in Jamaica, with a Kingston address for the organization. In 2024, the company announced the appointment of Gary Barrow as Chief Executive Officer.
