Winter Park Magazine began with a question. I was curious why many major newspapers were in such difficulty. Which led to a conversation with one of the leading publishers in the state, Jim Clark,…which led to Jim DeSimone (my business partner) taking us to a real live business plan… which led to the many months of discovering our personal goals, dreams and passions for the media industry … which led to wanting to do something special in a very special place … which led to our extraordinarily talented, energetic, creative and just plain nice team of Mick Lochridge (Editor), Kristen Schaeffer-Santoni (Art Director), Jannett Roberts (Ad Director) and Courtney Shapiro (Lead Photographer) and a team of writers, photographers and graphic designers that make the whole thing work … which led to Winter Park Magazine.

So here we are.

Life takes us down interesting roads, some planned, many not. This has been a labor of love to do something special for our community and have some fun doing it. We want Winter Park Magazine to raise the bar for quality AND community. We want our little magazine to feel, look, and be special for readers. We want our advertisers to be more than advertisers, viewing us as partners with their business. We want the people featured in our magazine to be proud to be part of a great story.

How will our little journey end – we don’t know. What we do know is that you should expect the very best from us and you should know we are going to give you the best we have. Welcome to Winter Park Magazine … we hope you agree it is worth the visit.
