The Wiregrass Museum of Art is a small regional museum based in Dothan, Alabama, serving the Wiregrass area since 1987. It presents exhibitions and related educational programs aimed at engaging the local community. As part of the museums sector, it seeks to broaden access to art and foster creativity and critical engagement in the region. The museum has pursued collaborations to expand its programming, including a 2023 partnership with Florida State University’s Museum of Fine Arts to bring a collection of modernist prints to the Wiregrass. In 2025, it joined with the Alabama Humanities Alliance to facilitate conversations around contemporary fiber art and to offer Studio 126, a free weekly after-school program for teens aged 13-16.
