The Wisconsin EMS Association (WEMSA), founded in 1973, is the largest state-level EMS association in the U.S., representing over 6,000 members from more than 330 EMS departments and organizations. Our mission is to serve those who serve others by advocating for EMS professionals through education, advocacy, and legislative action. WEMSA is dedicated to advancing emergency services across Wisconsin, delivering high-quality education, growing membership to amplify the voice of EMS, and leading in public policy. We host one of the largest state EMS conferences in the U.S., featuring multiple educational tracks, hands-on training, and a vast expo hall. We have also led initiatives like the Funding Assistance Program (FAP), securing over $50 million in direct funding for EMS. WEMSA continues to seek member input and provide leadership that enhances the EMS profession.
