Wish Upon A Teen is a nonprofit organization based in Birmingham, Michigan, dedicated to helping teenagers with severe life-limiting medical conditions. It provides resources, time and opportunities to these youths. Through creative, social and educational activities, the group aims to normalize their environment and rebuild self-esteem as they transition to adulthood. The programming addresses the challenges associated with serious illness, such as hair loss from chemotherapy and extended hospital stays.
It works with a network of hospital partners across the United States, spanning multiple pediatric centers, to reach teens in care. In 2019, Emagine Entertainment partnered with Wish Upon a Teen to sponsor a hospital room for a special patient each month for the following year.
