The Women's National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA) represents players in the WNBA, the United States' professional women's basketball league. The league was founded on April 24, 1996, as the women's counterpart to the NBA and currently comprises twelve teams. Based in the United States, the association operates within the spectator sports industry. In recent years, the WNBPA has engaged with external partners to broaden opportunities for its members. In May 2026, the NIL Store partnered with the WNBPA to launch its first WNBA Rookie Collection, a seven-player drop highlighting first-year talent. In February 2026, Bay Club Company, LLC partnered with the WNBPA to offer training hubs to players in the off-season.
