Woldingham School is a long-established educational institution for girls aged 11 to 18, offering both boarding and day places on a 700-acre campus. Founded in 1842 as a Catholic Sacred Heart school, it is part of the Sacred Heart network, a global group of about 150 schools in 41 countries guided by five goals: bold faith, respect for intellectual values, personal growth, social awareness, and building community. The campus is set in a rural, safe location and is accessible via strong transport links to London and the surrounding counties, with proximity to Gatwick and Heathrow airports and a direct route from Woldingham station into the school grounds. A new Sixth Form Centre and Library was planned to open in autumn 2024, signaling ongoing facility development. It serves girls in the 11-to-18 range, providing a combination of boarding and day schooling for families. The school has received recognition in the independent education sector, including the 2022 Independent Schools of the Year Marketing Award for Effective Brand Communication and the 2025 Supporting Young Leaders Award from The Institute of Leadership. These elements, together with its long history, network affiliation, and recent facility upgrades, position Woldingham within the UK's independent education landscape as a traditional yet evolving option for female students.
