Woman's Hospital is a private nonprofit hospital in the health care industry, located at 100 Woman's Way, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Its mission is to improve the health of women and infants, and it is among the United States' early women's specialty hospitals and one of the largest overall, the largest in Louisiana with more than 8,500 births annually. Opened in November 1968, the organization employs between 1,001 and 5,000 people. In 2026, Rene Ragas was appointed president and chief government officer, and the hospital announced partnerships including an expanded Prime Vendor agreement with Medline; it also received several awards, such as a Silver Award for Best Hospital and the Best Place to Have a Baby Gold Award. The hospital has engaged in community initiatives, including a literacy program launched in partnership with the Baton Rouge Area Foundation and Book Harvest.
