WOCAN is a women-led global network of professional women and men engaged in agriculture and natural resource management who are committed to organizational change for gender equality and environmentally sustainable development. WOCAN’s invests in building capacities and forums for women’s organizations which has enabled women farmers and professionals to obtain new resources to improve their livelihoods and well-beingWOCAN has trained and mentored women farmers and professionals - as well as the men who support them - to accelerate transformational change within communities and institutions. 

WOCAN developed the award-winning W+ Standard (www.wplus.org) to measure, quantify and monetize results of women's empowerment initiatives at the community or project level as a results-based finance approach.
