Women Tech Council focuses on the economic impact of women's participation in the technology sector and designs programs to grow tech talent across the pipeline—from high school to executive leadership. The organization provides mentoring, visibility, opportunities, and networking to a community of technology professionals, numbering more than 10,000 participants, and has inspired over 12,000 girls to pursue STEM fields. By fostering environments that emphasize high performance and inclusion beyond mere diversity, it supports both individual careers and employer talent strategies in tech.

Based in the United States with a national reach rooted in the Silicon Slopes region, the council operates within the technology, information, and internet industry. Its work targets both women and men working in technology, helping organizations create cultures where diverse talent can thrive. In January 2018, it launched the Shatter List, naming 44 companies recognized for practices intended to break the glass ceiling.
