The Women’s Employment Network (WEN) is a nonprofit organization empowering women to achieve economic stability and career success through employment readiness, professional development, and ongoing career support. Founded in 1986, WEN has spent nearly four decades helping women in the greater Kansas City area build confidence, strengthen employment skills, and secure sustained, meaningful employment. We serve women who are unemployed, underemployed, returning to the workforce, navigating career transitions, or rebuilding after job displacement. Our Impact WEN takes a holistic, individualized approach to workforce development—addressing both professional goals and personal barriers to employment. Through coaching, case management, and skill-building, women gain the tools they need to move forward with clarity and confidence. Our Programs & Services WEN’s programming is built around three core pillars that support women at every stage of their career journey: 🔹 Employment Readiness & Career Development Resume building, interview preparation, job-search strategies, and career exploration. 🔹 Financial Stability & Life Skills Budgeting, goal setting, and tools that support long-term economic independence. 🔹 Professional Growth & Community Connection Ongoing learning, peer support, and access to a strong professional network.
