Womens Enterprise Development Center Inc. (WEDC) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1997 that focuses on microenterprise development for women in the lower and mid-Hudson Valley. Based in White Plains, New York, it operates as the SBA’s Women's Business Center for Westchester County and the surrounding Hudson Valley, and as the Empire State Development Corporation’s EAP Center for Westchester County. The center provides targeted programs such as Path to Entrepreneurship in English and Spanish and an extensive Entrepreneurial Training Program (60+ hours over 18 weeks), complemented by free one-on-one counseling and assistance with micro-loans or crowdfunding. It also offers workshops and webinars on topics from social media to legal issues, along with networking events, an online learning center, and support for M/WBE certification applications.
