Empowering Women and Girls, Fueling Change: At the Women’s Foundation of Genesee Valley, our mission is to amplify the voices of all women and girls in the Greater Rochester Area, breaking down barriers to success through equitable philanthropy and transformative community partnerships. We are passionate about supporting women and girls through: Professional Development: Our Immersive Grant Writing Program has already empowered women to raise an impressive $7 million for their nonprofit organizations, equipping them with the skills to make a real impact in their communities. Power Her Forward Girls Conference and Youth Leadership Development: We proudly host the largest girls conference in Upstate New York, providing a platform for inspiration, education, and empowerment for young women. We also meet with teen girls ages 12-19 monthly to discuss entrepreneurship, real estate, financial investing, how to negotiate their pay and how to master business etiquette… and that is just the tip of the iceberg! We Support Economic Self-Sufficiency Initiatives: We fund programs that encourage economic independence, ensuring women and girls have access to the resources they need to thrive.
