Women’s Global Leadership Initiative is a non-profit organization founded by Diana Ruiz in 2008. The organization strives to unlock the leadership potential of women from different socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds who want to make a difference in their communities. The organization’s model is designed to serve women seeking personal and professional transformation. The model provides women with leadership education and direct access to a network of trusted advisors. Mentors help students achieve life goals through developing a step-by-step plan for success and, as a result, students gain the confidence and insight needed to become women leaders of the future. Today, WGLI is creating a global community where women can learn from and support one another in their leadership development. Still, many social barriers must be overcome.
