Woodwork Institute is a not-for-profit trade association serving the architectural woodwork sector in the United States, founded in 1951. Based near the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado, the organization supports architectural woodwork manufacturers and industry suppliers by providing standards, inspection programs, and technical expertise that guide quality and specification practices. Its offerings include multiple compliance and inspection programs, independent inspection and expert services, and access to the North American Architectural Woodwork Standards, along with millwork-specific specification review and CEU-accredited education for architectural professionals. The Institute also promotes recognition of excellence through awards and scholarships, and supports continuing education for the AIA CES program.
