Washington’s Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board (Workforce Board) is a Governor-appointed partnership of labor, business and government that is dedicated to helping Washington residents obtain and succeed in family-wage jobs, while meeting employers’ needs for skilled workers. The Workforce Board acts as: -An advocate on all issues and programs related to workforce development, which includes 16 education and training programs. -An independent third party evaluator of the state’s workforce system. -The lead policy advisor over the state’s workforce development system and federally funded Career and Technical Education. -A regulator of private career school programs and veterans education programs.
