WORKSHOP8 is more than an architecture firm. Our talents and interests lead us to work in interior design, urban planning, public art and graphic design. In our world, every project is the perfect combination of beauty, sustainability, practicality and price. WORKSHOP8 exists to inspire, enrich and transform lives through values-based design and collaborate with mission-driven clients.

WORKSHOP8 strives to achieve elegant solutions for projects both large and small by considering the site, the culture, the environment, the project’s physical needs and budget constraints, construction techniques, branding, marketing, and occupancy. We integrate art and design as a way to bring communities together and improve lives.

Located in Boulder, WORKSHOP8 was originally founded in 2000 as VaST by husband and wife team, Brandy LeMae and Joseph Vigil and rebranded to WORKSHOP8 in 2010. Our team of passionate, creative, and caring people share a fervor for design, social involvement, and a belief that the benefit of good design should extend to everyone. We believe in making a difference, and making a profit.

We embrace the integration of technology and pre-manufactured materials in construction, but also love craft, the handmade, and the reclaimed. We strive for simple forms, authentic materiality, and clarity of design. With an eye to functionality and an approach that is not burdened with ornamentation and excess, we believe it is important to use the best materials available given the budget. For WORKSHOP8 successful design is the physical display of optimism and a pure approach to materials and form that renders a timeless design.
