World Dance Movement – The International Festival was born to build connections between dance and diverse cultures that inspire and transform dancers worldwide. WDM's focus is to present dancers with an opportunity to receive one-on-one training and attention in a nurturing and supportive atmosphere. The curriculum challenges dancers of all levels through a comprehensive study-vacation model. Notably, World Dance Movement Italy, co-founded in Castellana Grotte, in the heart of Puglia, by Michèle Assaf in collaboration with Annalisa Bellini of Artinscena and Mimmo Daoli, is, to date, one of the most prestigious International Dance Festivals in Italy and throughout Europe. Every year the event hosts professional dancers and dance companies from over 35 nations with a variety of initiatives: dance, aerial, and acro classes, an aerial intensive (new this year!), the prestigious title of “World Dancer of the Year,” internationally renowned teachers, international dance and aerial dance competitions, auditions for universities and RWS Global, over $1 million in scholarships, student gala performances, guest company performances, sightseeing, beach days, parties in a typical Masseria, and much more!
