World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) serves as the international governing body for flying disc sports, providing world-level governance across disciplines such as Ultimate, Disc Golf, Beach Ultimate, Freestyle, Guts, and Overall. It operates as a registered not-for-profit and is aligned with the International Olympic Committee, as well as ARISF, SportAccord, and the International World Games Association. Based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, WFDF coordinates the global flying disc community through its member associations and international events. In recent years, WFDF has advanced education and development initiatives, including a revised Memorandum of Understanding with the International School Sport Federation to promote flying disc in school sport systems and broaden opportunities for young athletes, and it launched the WFDF Academy to provide learning resources worldwide. Member associations also participated in events such as the Southeast Asian Games, where disc golf was featured as a demonstration sport.
