Worldwide Veterinary Service is a nonprofit based in Cranborne, England, delivering free veterinary care worldwide and supporting other animal charities with medications, equipment, and volunteers. Founded in 2003 by veterinarian Dr Luke Gamble, it focuses on education through International Training Centres that train veterinary professionals to improve clinical skills and surgical capabilities. These activities position WVS within the nonprofit veterinary sector as a provider of both direct care and capacity-building support. Since its inception, WVS has directly treated over 570,000 animals, shipped more than 11,000 veterinary aid parcels, and trained over 7,700 veterinary professionals. Its work aims to raise global standards of animal welfare by equipping local and international veterinarians with knowledge, skills, and confidence to care for animals. In 2025, WVS partnered with the British Veterinary Association to launch the Global Veterinary Challenge Award, reflecting ongoing collaboration with the veterinary community in the United Kingdom.
