Wright Christian Academy began at the call of God in July of 1989. The academy opened its doors in August of that year offering students in kindergarten through twelfth grade a Christ-centered, college preparatory education. We continue to occupy what was the old East Central High School facility and over the years have made major renovations including the addition of a full-size gymnasium, performing arts auditorium, media center, and science lab. Since the beginning, the academy has been inter-denominational and has served families from a broad range of the Christian tradition. For over two decades Wright Christian Academy has offered its ministry to the families who make the choice for Christian education, families that desire for the hearts of their children to be connected to God and to be equipped as young men and women of influence for the sake of Christ. The end result of the efforts of Wright Christian Academy is to be the development of a Christian young person devoted to God, grounded in the teaching of Christ, equipped to serve the church, and exceptionally prepared to pursue further educational endeavors.
