X Winery is a Napa-based producer in the beverage manufacturing sector that concentrates on niche wines designed to meet underserved segments of the marketplace. The operation does not own vineyard property, instead sourcing fruit through a family vineyard cooperative and, when such fruit is unavailable, finding a suitable home for it. The business emphasizes innovation, efficiency, service, and imagination in its winemaking approach. It operates as a small team focused on leveraging cooperative sourcing to craft its wines.

It was founded in 2000 by an MS/MBA candidate to create niche wines for underserved segments while maintaining an efficient operating approach. The company situates itself in the beverage manufacturing industry as a lean producer that avoids vineyard ownership by sourcing fruit through a family cooperative, aiming to reach a global audience and encourage discussion about its wines.
