The YMCA of the North is a large nonprofit organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, focused on Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. It operates as part of the YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities, a merger completed in 2012 when the YMCA of Greater St. Paul and the YMCA of Metropolitan Minneapolis joined to widen community impact. The organization serves the Twin Cities and western Wisconsin through a network that includes 27 membership branches, seven resident camps, nearly a dozen day camps, and dozens of child-care locations and youth development program sites. Annually, more than 220,000 members and participants engage in programs and activities that promote health, activity, and social connection. In January 2026, the Southdale YMCA announced a partnership with Cardio Diagnostics to expand AI-powered cardiovascular testing and education for its community.
