We believe that the divide between our values and actions can be defined by the dearth of those who actually combine those two dynamics. As Americans, we maintain that we value children as the most important and precious elements of our lives. Yet, more and more, we are finding children at risk from the plagues of abuse, neglect, poverty and hunger. Governmental agencies are not equipped to manage these problems away, and charity organizations constantly face more demand than they have the resources to meet. We are failing roughly one quarter of the next generation, and the prognosis for the future is not optimistic. The Yob Family Foundation’s mission, at its core, is to fill in the gaps, to take on the causes that seem to be left behind and provide resources for children where they are needed the most. Protecting children from harm and ensuring they are well fed and healthy are the most basic values we share as a society, and that cause is at the center of our mission.
