York Schneider is a business boutique law firm specializing in business, commercial real estate and tax.  YS represents a legal evolution, responding to changes in the marketplace and changing the way law is practiced.

After practicing with several of the largest firms in the Southeast, Matt York and Jason Schneider founded YS in November, 2009 after recognizing two emerging trends in the legal industry. As the large firms in North Carolina began consolidating with even larger regional and national firms, the entrepreneurs and middle-market businesses we most enjoy working with started getting priced out or lost in the shuffle. At the same time, attorneys practicing under the traditional large firm model were increasingly frustrated by the lack of flexibility and life sacrifices required to succeed.  So we created YS, a business boutique firm, as an attractive alternative to the large firm model for both clients and attorneys.
