Young Projects is a small Brooklyn-based design studio founded in 2010 by Bryan Young. It pursues multidisciplinary work across architecture, art, furniture, and film, aiming to align each project with its unique design problem and client aspirations. The studio emphasizes program, budget, and schedule as drivers of inquiry into craft, materiality, history, context, and the experience of natural light and spatial definition, while preserving a clear sense of order. Current work includes a ground-up private residence and retreat comprising six new buildings totaling 25,000 square feet, a rooftop landscape in New York City, loft renovations, a townhouse gut renovation in Williamsburg, and prototyping of digitally fabricated light fixtures. In 2021, Young Projects announced a collaboration with Coen + Partners, a Minneapolis-based landscape firm, to integrate landscape design with their site-scale projects.
