YWCA Canada is the country’s oldest and largest national umbrella organization providing multi-service support for women through 32 member associations operating in more than 400 districts and communities across nine provinces and two territories. Its Turning Point Programs for Women address personal safety, economic security, and well-being, reaching more than 400,000 women and girls. The federation is also a leading shelter provider, serving 25,000 women, children, and teen girls each year, including 6,000 fleeing domestic violence. Based in Toronto, Ontario, it acts as the coordinating body for the YWCA movement in Canada and is connected to World YWCA. Within Canada, YWCA Canada is the largest provider of literacy, life skills, employment support, and counselling programs, and the second-largest provider of childcare services. It is a member association of World YWCA, linking it to a global network of 25 million women and girls across 125 countries, with recent collaboration on the 2025 Week Without Violence campaign (RiseUp).
